Have yet to install your plugin Dan, but the features continue to stack up :] I'd love to see one feature, though, exclusion of your own Tweets in the TweetBacks. So far, I see you are listed as a TweetBack three times for this particular blog post.

For some reason, when I click on the Tweet button or the "be the first to tweet this" button it doesn't work. It just reloads the page. When I mouse over your button, the status bar shows me that the link points to twitter, where mine do not. They just point to the permalink of the post.

Sorry for another off topic post. You're welcome for the cheating info and I question Shorty's claim of an audit. I alerted them via an @ tweet from a one time use account ("tester" something) about a half hour before alerting you.

Only works on posts published after the plugin is installed. Viewing a post which was published before the plugin installed causes the links to fail (link back to the same page). Is there any way to 'retro fit' older posts?

Dan, I heart the plugin a lot. Quick question: With both this and the previous beta, I've gotten the following warning at the top of the TweetSuite options page.

Warning: mktime() expects parameter 1 to be long, string given in /home/[blahblahblah]/TweetSuite/TweetSuite.php on line 1047

In the previous version it was line 9xx. Is this normal?

Hey there- I'm having the same problem- the TweetThis links do not work on any posts PRE-Tweetsuite install- however, it seems to function just fine on all posts created AFTER installation. I also tried rebuilding permalinks to see if that helped- but no luck. The plugin is pretty cool when it works though.

Feature Request:

Manual placement of Tweetbacks- instead of at the end of "the_content" allow user to put it anywhere in the loop.

Looks like a fantastic plugin, but unfortunately I can't get either TweetSuite or Tweetbacks to work (tried both).

With TweetSuite, the tweetbacks aren't showing up at all even though I've enabled them, and the widgets don't show recent tweets or most tweeted, even though people have twittered about my blog posts. Also, like Jeff at Go Media reported, clicking on the Tweet button doesn't work; it simply reloads the page. I've uninstalled the plugin for now, but any ideas why it's not working?

I'd appreciate any help, I'd LOVE to have this plugin work properly, it seems awesome. :-)

Love the plugin!! I have it installed and really want to activate it permanently but will wait to see if the next update includes a fix so it applies retroactively. Please please please say that fix is coming!

Yes, great plugin! Voted for you! But, as other have expressed, would be great to see:

1) A fix for the tweet this button for pre-tweetsuite-install posts;
2) Tweet-this opens in another window or tab option;
3) Ability to put the tweet this button on the home page posts.

I'm wondering how long it takes for a Retweet to appear on the TweetBack stats.. I posted this article ( http://www.vizworld.com/2009/01/a-1474-megapixe... ) on January 23th and your TweetSuite plugin auto-tweeted it just fine ( http://twitter.com/VizWorld/status/1142041555 ).

It was retweeted yesterday (http://twitter.com/gelal/statuses/1162266219 , Thanks to @ta_replies for telling me) and I still see "No tweetbacks" on my site.

I love the idea of this plug-in and have seen it working on other sites! I installed the plug-in, but when I activate it, it does something odd to my sidebars so that when you view a single post, they don't show on the right side like usual, but instead at the bottom, underneath the post. I also don't see the 'Tweet this' button at all. I've de-activated it for now, but would love to know how to fix this!

I've just updated the plugin and Tweet-This button's still don't appear in my new posts! Is this normal?

Also, with version 0.5 my new blog posts were correctly being tweeted after selecting that option in the settings. Not any more with version 0.6!

Great plug-in! I've been using it since you released it.

A lot of people have been recommending the ability to select-your-own URL shortening service when you launch TweetSuite 1.0.

If you do that, please consider including Tweetburner/Twurl as one of the options - I like that it integrates click data in addition to URL shortening.

Hi, I'm wondering why you haven't published this (and tweetback) awesome plugin on http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins ?? WP 2.7 has a nice auto-update functionality which doesn't force me to revisit sites to get the latest release... pretty handy ;)

BTW, someone else already published tweetback.. and probably gets credit (and cash?) for it..

Also, the Tweet This logo isn't showing up on the front page, only when a person clicks through to display the whole post. Most people won't click on the title, they just read from the front page. Can it be shown in the post on the front page please?

The plugin is cool but like everyone else my older post don't work with the plugin alos I my button works but the count doesn't change nore do the tweetbacks, please help!

@Everyone:
I have been working on integrating the ability to post through ping.fm into the TweetSuite plugin, and now fixing the issue with Tweetbacks showing up on the pages (or rather, in the database).

So far, I've seen 5 major feature requests from everyone:
#1 Include ability to use other URL Shortening services
#2 Open Tweet-This in a new window
#3 Auto Update
#4 Retro-active Tweet-This capability
#5 Tweet-This on the homepage

I've already fixed #2 with what I'm working on. Once I get finished with the main ones I started on, I'll give Dan the code to check out, and push out another release.

Sometime this weekend, I'll post more about what I'm doing over at www.thepizzy.net/blog (since this is not my blog :-p)

Hi Dan,
cool stuff! I am working on my blog and this is simply an amazing addition. I am seeing a few issues though, perhaps because of my blog's configuration:
1) I can't see any "Tweet this" like buttons, once installed and activated the updated version of the plugin linked to in this page.
2) Is it possible to make "No Tweetbacks Yet" appear at the bottom of the post?
3) "Be the first to Tweet this post" sometimes links to the post itself, sometimes to Twitter passing the status. I think I read others' comments above about the same.
4) I tried to tweet some test posts (when the "Be the first to Tweet this post" correctly links to Twitter), but I can't see any tweetbacks.
5) The "My tweets" widget doesn't seem to get updated.
For the 4) and 5), how often does the plugin automatically update the data?
Sorry for the many questions, but I'd really love to see this plugin working on my new blog!

Like others I noticed the the "Tweet This" was only working for new posts. On existing pages the url for the "Tweet This" button is the url for the current post. However, If I unpublish and re-publish a blog post, the url gets built for twitter.

Love the plugin, but I've unfortunately had to disable it. I was testing it out and enabled the show retweets, and subsequently, due the formatting of those on single pages, disabled it. However, the plugin does now not recognise the fact that I've disabled it and is still displaying it. All I want is to just tweet when I have publish a new blog post

i'm trying to find a way of directly embedding the "My tweets" without using the Widget. So, by using PHP directly to emded.

Is this possible?
